Beverley June Ring Obituary (2024)

Beverley June (Clark) Ring, age 85, of Yakima Washington, passed away peacefully at a memory care facility on Saturday, March 2, 2024 after a long battle with dementia. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Beverley was born on November 19, 1938 in Wenatchee, WA to James and Mabel Clark. Her family moved to Omak, WA in 1940, where she grew up. In 1955, she met Monte Ring and became high school sweethearts. She continued her education at Central Washington University, in Ellensburg, WA. She moved to Seattle and lived with friends while working. Bev and Monte married on April 2, 1960. Beverley and Monte moved to Ft. Belvoir, Virginia after Monte was drafted to the Army. Sadly, this happened 2 months after they lost their first child, 2 days after being born. Monte soon was heading to Vietnam. Beverley moved back to Seattle while he was away and continued to live there once he returned. Bev moved with Montes work from Seattle to Los Angeles, CA and then to Salt Lake City, UT. They retired in Yakima, WA. She made friends wherever they landed. Beverley worked as a secretary at the elementary schools her daughters attended. This allowed her to spend the summers with them. She was involved in Beta Sigma Phi sorority where she met lifelong friends, was involved in the PTA, as well as a Brownie leader with the Girl Scouts. Beverley was an ovarian cancer survivor and helped mentor others that were battling with their own struggles with ovarian cancer. Bev and Monte never missed a chance to attend their high school reunions because they had wonderful friendships with their classmates that they enjoyed seeing and getting caught up. Beverley was an avid reader, loved scrapbooking, crafts and crocheting. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother of 2 daughters and grandmother to 4 grandsons. Beverley is survived by her loving husband, Monte Ring; daughters Lori Tucker (Gene), Renee Hamilton (Todd) and grandsons Jared, Ethan, Ryan and Kyle, sister-in-law Terry Clark and extended family. Beverley was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald, sister Belle, and infant son, Mark Ellis. Although we greatly mourn her passing, we celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the love she spread to those around her. Beverley will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
