Darrell Guy Church, Jr. Obituary (1973

Darrell Guy Church Jr. was called to Heaven on August 7, 2022. He was born on April 24, 1973, in Ellensburg, Washington to Darrell Guy Church Sr. and Kathleen Marie Crawford. The family relocated to Selah, Washington where he attended elementary school. Later, he ended up in Union Gap where he went on to finish his schooling at Davis High School. Starting at a very young age he began tinkering with lawnmowers in the backyard. His natural mechanical talent grew from there. At the age of fifteen he started his career in the heavy truck industry. He collected numerous certifications and spent a majority of his years as a Mack and Volvo Master Technician and Lead at Mobile Fleet. His mechanical talents were often put to use helping others when in need outside of work as well. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. When he wasnt at work he loved spending his time outdoors, enjoying everything it had to offer. Hunting, time with family at Reecer Creek, finding Ellensburg blues, late night bon fires at cow camp, and early mornings to chase salmon. From the ocean to the mountains, the outdoors was his happy place. Darrell married his high school sweetheart and lifelong other half, Kristi Boucher in October of 1999. The following year he became a father to their only child, Darrell "Guy" Church III. As a family they had a lot of great laughs, lots of BBQs, ocean charters, camping, and drinks around the cow campfire. Darrell especially enjoyed the years his son was showing and breeding show pigs. He was very involved with all aspects of the pig life, from shopping for baby pigs, getting everything, they needed, building, fixing, anything, you name it. Darrell is preceded in death by his father Darrell Guy Church Sr., and both sets of grandparents Clyde and Joy Church, and Dilbert and Ellen Crawford. He is survived by his only son Darrell "Guy" Church III (William Stein), his lifelong love Kristi Boucher, his mother Kathleen Crawford, his brother David (Amy) Church, his sister Brandy (Gary) Durham, his nephews John and Matthew Durham, his mother and father in-laws Rob and Janet Boucher, Sandy and Larry Cearlock, brother in-laws Lewis and Jaysen Boucher, and sister in-law Cheyanne Boucher (Tim Reitan). Darrell was always the life of the party. His quick wit and humor made for never-ending laughs. He was the kind of man to give his shirt off his own back to those in need. Whether it be for work or for fun you could count on him to be there. Darrell will always be loved, cherished, and missed in our hearts. His memory will live on in us every day.
