Ethlyn Pearl Fraser Obituary (1928

Ethlyn Pearl (Thomas) Fraser, 86, of Yakima, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 surrounded by family. Ethlyn was born May 19, 1928 to Roy and Ada May Thomas in Mercer, MO. Mom came to the Yakima Valley (Toppenish) in 1945 where she had made her home. She worked at various restaurants in the Toppenish area during this time making many friends. She was an excellent cook feeding 'many'. Ethlyn is survived by her two sons, Rodney (Anni) Smith, Rodger (Christie) Fraser, two daughters, Jody (Tim) Davis and Carla (Gary) Kroll; 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by one son, Gary D. Smith, her parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. We would like to thank Summitview Living Care for the excellent care our mother received from all the staff while residing there. We want to give a special thanks to her grandson Jason Davis for saying a final prayer with her. At her request there will be no services. The family will be having a Celebration of Life for Ethlyn on Saturday, July 26, 2014 1:00 pm at the Dome at the Yakama Nation R.V. Park in Toppenish. Please come and join us. Bring your favorite dish and your best story. Mom's final words: 'Remember me with smiles and laughter for that's how I will remember you all.
