Garret Martin Key Obituary (2024)

Beloved father, son, and brother, Garret Martin Key, passed away in Cashmere, Washington, on November 19, 2024. Garret was born December 2, 1990, to Robert Key and Patricia Bronsema-Key, in Mt. Vernon, Washington. Garret touched many people with his quiet kindness. While his outward demeanor was of a hard dude, his heart became very apparent to those who knew him. He was a true and loyal friend who would help those in need without hesitation. One of Garret's greatest joys was spending time with his daughter, Alice. She transformed him from a rowdy Viking into an awesome dad. He always put Alice first. His world was right when they were together. He always considered her his "greatest achievement." He loved reading, especially the Disc World series, music of all genre's, camping, watching movies, especially Dead Pool, and helping with the Special Olympics Winter Games. His behind-the-scenes contributions will be sorely missed. He is survived by his grandma, Betty, his momma, Trish, his dad, Bob, three brothers including, Allen (Amber), Drew, and Liam (Tasha), many friends that considered him family, along with his beloved partner, Rose, and his daughter, Alice. A Celebration of Life is being planned for around the end of April, at The Milepost Cafe in Cashmere, who is being incredibly generous and donating their venue for the event.
