Gayetta Mae Hink, passed away surrounded by her family, on July 2nd 2023 in Ellensburg, Washington. Gayetta Mae Hink was born January 27,1955 to Joe and Lenore Dorey Allemand in Ellensburg, Washington. She attended Ellensburg High School and on December 7, 1972, married her husband of 50 years Richard Hink SR.(Rick). Gayetta Hink worked at Twin City Foods for 27 years. During this time, she and her husband had 3 children, Diane, Dean and Richard, but after the birth of her grandchildren she decided to go out on her own and start Stepping Stone Daycare. Gayetta owned and operated Stepping Stone Daycare for 12 years before she retired. She shared her love for the outdoors, gardening, baking, arts and crafts with her grandchildren and many other children that quickly became extended family members. After retirement she continued to spend time with family and fill her time with many hobbies whether it be taking care of her plants, decorating her house for the nearest holiday or doing arts and crafts with her grandchildren. Gayetta is preceded in death by her parents Lenore Dorey Allemand, Joe Allemand, siblings Joe (Buster) Allemand (brother), Ron Allemand (brother), Randy Allemand (brother), Rex Allemand (brother), Joanne Weyand (sister), Mary Johnson (sister), and Maxine Von Essen (sister), Mac McDonald (Brother- in-Law). Gayetta is survived by her husband Richard Hink Sr, Children Diane Horton (Patrick Horton), Dean Hink (Lindsey Hink), Richard Hink ( Ellen Cartwright), Grandchildren Sam Horton , Bradley Hink (Mercedes Anacleto) Katie Horton, Amy Hink, Charlie Hink, Tate Hink Cartwright (Carter) Hink, Siblings Vern Allemand (Connie), Edward Allemand, Alice McDonald, James Allemand ( Sandy), Pasty Carlson, Sharron Allemand, Brenda Allemand, Virginia Allemand and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members. Memorial Service will be held on July 15th at 1pm at Brookside Funeral Home, with viewing from 11-12pm. Reception will follow with a potluck luncheon at the Armory located at The Kittitas Valley Event Center 901 E 7th Ave Ellensburg, WA 98926.
