Jeffrey Lynn Sears Obituary (2025)

Jeffrey Lynn Sears, age 70, passed away in Union Gap, WA, on Febuary 19, 2025. He was born October 1, 1954, in Yakima, he was the youngest child of Clarence & Claudia (Moore) Sears. He grew up near downtown Yakima, and lived in Yakima his entire life. Jeff spent 40+ years with Julie Stephens helping raise her three daughters; Jennifer, Jessica and Jamie, whom he loved as his own, this continued with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. They knew Jeff as "G-papa" and loved and respected him very much! Jeff made several good friends throughout his life; Hans Perereit, Gary Haley, and Mike Leitch, to name a few, and there were many more! Jeff loved riding motorcycles and owned many throughout his life. He became a proud member of the Yakima Eagle Riders a few years before his passing. He was a fisherman, his favorite places to fish were Dog Lake and Clear Lake. He also enjoyed competing in Demolition Derbies at Yakima Speedway and destroyed several cars there over the years. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and his only son Chad Sears, three brothers Clifford, Steve, and David, and two sisters Corrine (aka Corky) and Nadine. Jeff's CELEBRATION OF LIFE is Saturday, May 17, at the home of his grandaughter Cassandra. Jeff's favorite breakfast of homemade bisquits and gravy will be served.
