Leslie Kenneth "Les" Tower In Loving Memory of a Devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Les Tower, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Les was born on December 27, 1957, to Leslie and Katherine Tower, and left this world unexpectedly on November 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Les was the beloved husband of JoAnnne Tower, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and adventure. They were married on June 12, 1977, beginning a journey together that would be marked by devotion and joy. Together, they built a family rooted in kindness, faith, and unwavering support for one another. Les will be deeply missed by his daughters, Kristi Hjermstad of Durango, CO, and Cassi Tower of Ellensburg, WA. He was a devoted father, always offering guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love. His legacy of integrity and warmth lives on in his children. A proud and loving grandfather, Les adored Makenzie and Garrett Hjermstad, treasuring every moment spent with them and delighting in their accomplishments. He was also a caring father-in-law to Eric Hjermstad, welcoming him into the family with open arms. Les is survived by his siblings Julorie Siefert, Tammy Crowley, and Loren Tower, as well as his sisters- and brothers-in-law Diane and Cash Woodward, Geraldine and Dan Kukes, and Don and Gladys French and their families. He was preceded in death by his brothers Steve and Nick Tower, his parents Leslie and Katherine Tower, and his in-laws Maxine and Gerald French. Les shared a deep and meaningful relationship with Maxine and Gerald, who lovingly acted as foster parents to him during his senior year in high school, further strengthening the bonds of family that shaped his life. His family circle, both present and remembered, reflects the deep connections and love that defined his journey. Les's strong faith in his Savior Jesus Christ was a cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and shaping his relationships. He was a dedicated member of Calvary Ellensburg Church, where he found fellowship, purpose, and the opportunity to serve others with compassion. We are comforted in the profound peace of knowing that Les is in heaven, and that his faith has led him home. This assurance brings solace to all who loved him. Known for his tireless work ethic, Les approached every task with dedication and perseverance. He believed in working hard and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His devotion to helping others, both within his community and beyond, was evident in his everyday life and the relationships he nurtured. Les attended Perry Institute, where he pursued his passion and became an electrician--a career that opened many doors for him. After a long and fulfilling professional life, he retired from Grant County PUD in November of 2024. Beyond his work, Les found immense joy in tending to his farm and nurturing his garden, often savoring moments spent barefoot amid the plants he cherished. Les touched the lives of all who knew him with his gentle spirit, generous heart, and steadfast character. He was a person who found joy in the simple things, cherished time with family and friends, and made everyone feel valued and heard. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to know him. A service to honor and celebrate Les's life will be held on November 22nd at 11:00 AM at Calvary Ellensburg Church. Prior to the service, family and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Brookside from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Following the service, a light lunch will be provided at the church, offering a special time for loved ones to gather, share fond memories, and enjoy fellowship together. In honor of Les's heartfelt commitment to Calvary Ellensburg, the family kindly requests that, in place of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Calvary Ellensburg Building Fund. This gesture reflects Les's passion for supporting his church community. Above all, the family encourages you to cherish your loved ones and embody the kindness that Les so freely gave to others. Les Tower will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
