Robert Scott Dittmer Obituary (2023)

Scott "Scotty" Dittmer, 62, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on July 28, 2023, in Yakima, Washington. He was born on June 21, 1961, in Yakima, Washington, and graduated from Ellensburg High School in 1979. He then went on to work for Tree Top in Selah, Washington from 1979 to 2022. Scott enjoyed life and many hobbies, which included racing motorcycles, racing go-karts, and was even the 2005 Tri-City Kart Club champion. He also had an immense love for golf. He and his wife, Shelly, enjoyed trips to Lincoln City, Las Vegas, and Arizona. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Scott was a loving and kind person to everyone he knew, always kindhearted. Scott is survived by his wife, Shelly Dittmer, daughter, Jennifer (Bob) Sumner, stepdaughter, Amanda (Danny), stepson, Austin (Lizbeht), granddaughter, Sophia Sumner, grandson, Randal Sumner, step grandsons, Carter Houfek, Carson Houfek, and Jon Crawford. He is also survived by his parents, Gerald Dittmer and Kathy Dittmer, brother Gary Dittmer, his loving aunts, uncles, many cousins, and so many wonderful friends. He preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Irene Dittmer, and Virgil and Maxine Scott. He is also preceded by his uncles, Gregory Scott, and Roger Dittmer.
