Stella Prieto-Salazar Obituary (1929

Stella Prieto Salazar, born January 7, 1929, passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2017 surrounded by family and loved ones. Stella was born in Palm Springs, CA., to Antonio and Ysidra Prieto, the youngest of 4 children. The heart of our family, Stella lived her life guided by her faith in our Lord, blessing and praying for all whom she met. She enjoyed sharing stories of her travels overseas, growing up in01 Palm Springs, movie stars she encountered as a young girl, and what her grandchildren were like as babies. One of her favorite things was corresponding with friends and family, she loved to receive mail and had the most beautiful handwriting. Stella was absolute in her patriotism for our country, loved Frank Sinatra and was very proud to watch her family grow. Stella is survived by her two children, Marina (Jim) of Yakima, WA., Richard (Stephanie) of Pahrump, NV., seven grandchildren; Cassandra (Von) of Yakima, WA., Jessica of Boise ID., Sarah of Kansas, MS., Kevin (Angelica) of Baker City OR., Alexandra (Tylor) of San Diego, CA., Gabrielle of Post Falls, ID., Ryder (due Oct 2017). 14 great grandchildren; Victoria, Von, Jadon, James, Justin, Angel, Donovon, Richard, Robert, Kevin, Callen, Rosemaree, Tyson, and Oakley, as well as her nieces and nephews Veronica, Vera, Ben and Eugene. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Antonio and Ysidra Prieto, her brothers Roaul, Edmund, and Tony (Ramona) and her son in law Kevin G. Gutierrez. There will be a Celebration of her Life at the home of granddaughter Jessica in Boise, ID., July 16 as well as a service in Palm Springs, CA later this summer.
