Albert Leroy Morrison Obituary (1953

Albert Leroy “Al” Morrison, 73, of Union Gap, Washington, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026. Born on July 1, 1953, in Ogden, Utah, to Clarence Morrison and La Mae Ellinor Varney, Al proudly served in the United States Army before owning his own lawn care business and later working as a delivery driver. He was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and friendly spirit. Family was the center of Al’s life. He was affectionately known as the “fun uncle,” spending countless hours playing football with family, friends, and neighborhood children. He had a gift for making people laugh and creating lasting memories with everyone around him. Al enjoyed classic western movies, listening to Neil Diamond, and cheering for the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners. Whether watching a game, sharing stories, or simply spending time with loved ones, his warmth and sense of humor made every gathering brighter. Al was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ernestine Morrison; his parents, Clarence Morrison and La Mae Ellinor Varney; his brothers, Peter, Leon, and Mark Morrison; and his sister, Marie Russell. He is survived by his daughter, Christina Morrison; his son, Robert Morrison; his bonus sons, Reggie Valdez and Miguel Blancas; his grandson, Mason Sylling; his brother, Alex Morrison; his sister, Darlene Wells; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Al’s kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1414 S. 72nd Ave., Yakima, WA 98908.
