Andy Duke was born on November 15, 1985, in Arlington, Washington and passed peacefully, at home, on April 23, 2023.
Andy grew up in Naches, Washington, where he started working in the logging industry at a very young age. In 2004, he graduated from Naches Valley High School. After graduation, he continued working in the logging industry. In 2012, he started his own company, Duke's Equipment and Parts. The company's equipment received top ratings, especially playing a role in fighting wildland fires across Washington, Oregon, and California. Andy's business journey was highlighted in The Yakima Magazine. In 2017, he, Ashley, and daughter, Gracie, settled in their beautiful log home in Naches. In 2021, they welcomed a precious baby girl, Emery James.
Andy was passionate about his work, but also enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved being near the water. Many weekends were spent at Lake Chelan, and some of the best memories were made on trips to Hawaii. He loved being outdoors, whether in the mountains or creating his own little forest, planting trees around the property.
Andy is survived by his wife, Ashley, daughters, Emery, and Gracie, sister, Jessica (Andy) Wilson, brother, Chad (Ashley) Duke, parents, Tim and Linda Duke, grandparents, Jim and Joan Duke, an aunt, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Andy is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerald and Donna Behling.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 1:00pm, at Stone Church (3303 Englewood Ave., Yakima, WA). Brookside Funeral Home is caring for the family. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.brooksidefuneral.com.
