Bonnie Lynn Osburn, born March 4, 1944, peacefully passed away on September 18, 2026, at age 82. She was surrounded by her family; her husband Larry, her son Chris and his wife Coral, and her grandchildren Keira and Nico.
Her early years were spent in Spokane with her parents, Harvey and Ruth Coe, and her two older siblings, Connie and Drew. She attended Deer Park High School, where she graduated as the salutatorian and lettered in softball and band. She then pursued an education in Physical Education at Eastern Washington University, graduated in 1966, and moved to Yakima to continue the rest of her life.
Her first job was teaching middle school PE and math, as well as coaching the school girls softball team. She touched and empowered the lives of many young girls during this time, and fostered many strong bonds within her team, leading them to win many games. She moved to West Valley Junior High to teach Algebra when it opened, then moved the Apple Valley Elementary to teach fourth grade until 2014 when she retired.
After retirement, she enjoyed her free time by traveling with her husband around the world. She visited Spain, England, Sweden, Paris, as well as many parts around the US.
Bonnie was a generous friend, and possessed a brilliant mind with an empathetic heart. As a grandma, she always made sure her grandkids felt loved and spoiled them with her delicious turtles and pies. Bonnie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her bright personality and love for the world.
Bonnie was laid to rest at West Hills Memorial Park, Yakima, WA.
