Carol Elaine Elder

Carol Anderson Elder, born Carol Elaine Anderson on April 25, 1939, passed away on August 14, 2026. She was the middle daughter of Rev. Ted and Margaret Anderson.

Carol is survived by her older sister Pat, her husband Bob Elder, and four children: John, Mary Ruth, and Stephen, from her first husband Bobby Edwards, who was killed in Vietnam; and her stepson Robert.

Active in her church and local community, Carol was known for her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help wherever she was needed. She had a lifelong passion for crocheting, creating blankets, afghans, and handmade gifts for loved ones and neighbors. In her later years, she dedicated herself to making blankets for the Linus Project, a cause close to her heart.

Carol will be deeply missed. The warmth she shared—both in spirit and in the blankets she lovingly crafted—will continue to comfort those she leaves behind.

Services will be held Sept 12th @ 11 a.m. at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Prosser, Washington.
