Carolina T. Rapisura Obituary (2023)

Caroline "Lynn" Tobia Rapisura, age 91, passed away on May 17, 2023, at Arcadia Healthcare, in Union Gap. Lynn was born on December 9, 1931, in Santa Ana, California, to Crispulo and Marta Tobia, and lived in the Yakima Valley her entire life. She graduated from Toppenish High School in 1950. Lynn worked at the Del Monte Cannery in Toppenish, and at her family fruitstand for many years. Lynn enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, and playing solitaire. She was a life-long member of the Filipino-American community, of Yakima Valley. Lynn and her husband, Eddie, welcomed into their home, Antolin "A.J." Juan, at age 12, in 1974. A.J. provided a loving and most caring son-relationship with Lynn until her passing. Lynn is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Eddie, and two brothers, Dionicio and Benjamin Tobia. She is survived by one brother, Alfred Tobia, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial wil be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 10:00am, at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, in Wapato, Washington. A Reception will follow at the Wapato Filipino Hall.
