Cynthia "Cindy" Lee Miller-Thayer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away suddenly on February 18, 2024, at her home in Gleed. Born on June 15, 1955, to James Griffin and Donna Englund in Spokane, Washington. Cindy was a woman of immense love and compassion, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that touched the lives of all who knew her. Cindy's life was marked by the profound love that she had for her family. She was the devoted mother of two sons, David Trefren, and Craig Miller, whom she cherished beyond measure. Her adoration for them knew no bounds, and she took great pride in watching them grow and thrive. In 1981, Cynthia met the love of her life, Bill Thayer, and from that moment on, their lives became intertwined in a bond of unwavering love and devotion. Their love story was one of joy and companionship, and they stood by each other's side through life's many adventures. On September 22, 2012, they sealed their love in marriage, embarking on a new chapter of togetherness that would endure until the end of time. Cindy found great joy and camaraderie in the company of her friends at the bingo hall, where she spent many cherished hours. Through laughter and shared experiences, she formed deep bonds with those around her, who became like family to her. Her generous spirit and genuine warmth endeared her to all, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she met. A true family person at heart, Cindy's greatest joy came from caring for her loved ones. For many years, she devoted herself to the care of her mother, Donna, and her stepfather, Ruben, providing them with love, comfort, and support through every challenge they faced. Her selflessness and compassion knew no bounds, and she found fulfillment in lending a helping hand to those in need. Cindy's legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Cindy will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her beloved family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and light she brought into the world. Her sudden passing has left a profound void in the lives of her loved ones. Cindy will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Mellissa (Jonah) McConnell of Vancouver, and James Trefren of Moxee, whom she adored and cherished. Cindy's love also extended to her great-grandson, Owen McConnell, whose arrival brought immeasurable happiness into her life. As Cindy is welcomed into eternal rest, she is reunited with those who have gone before her. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Donna Englund, her father, James Griffin, her cherished son, David Trefren, her dear daughter-in-law, Pauline Miller, her sisters-in-law, Sharon Wright and Kathy Thayer, her father-in-law, Raymond Thayer, and her brother-in-law, Douglas Thayer. Cindy is survived by her husband, Raymond (Bill) Thayer Jr. of Gleed, her son, Craig (Julie) Miller of Yakima, her granddaughter Mellissa (Jonah) McConnell of Vancouver, grandson, James Trefren of Moxee, great-grandson, Owen McConnell, her mother-in-law, Freda Thayer of Gleed, sister-in-law, Judy (Gary) Yohn of Gleed, numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.
