Dalia Rodriguez Lemos Obituary (2024)

Our mother, Dalia Rodriguez Lemos, became an angel in heaven on April 18, 2024. Dalia was born on August 24, 1960, in her family home in Sunnyside, Washington. Dalia moved to Yakima when she was 20 and began her family. Our mother was the best. She loved us so much and she always made sure she showed us that every day. She made every birthday and holiday special. During the summer, she would make picnics for us to sit at the park or in the backyard and drink lemonade. When we grew up and had children of our own, she then found the second loves of her life, her grandchildren. She grew to have eight grandchildren who she adored and truly lived for. She made their birthdays magical, gave them all the hugs and kisses they could ask for, and always made sure they knew how proud of them she was. They were the lights of her life. Nothing made our mom happier than us all being together, talking, and laughing. She was even happier as our family grew more to include her daughters-in-law and her son-in-law. She loved knowing that her children were loved and happy. Their love for her always warmed her heart. Our mom loved to love and be loved. We became the people we are now because of how much she loved us all. There will be no funeral, per our mothers request. She always wanted people to remember how she was at her happiest, singing, and laughing. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Brookside Funeral Home is caring for the family.
