Delbert Arthur Guthmiller Obituary (2023)

Delbert Guthmiller, a loving and devoted husband, and amazing father went home to our Heavenly Father on October 27, 2023. He was born in 1932, to Lea and Arthur Guthmiller. In 1946 the family moved from South Dakota to the Yakima Valley. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, from 1950 to 1954. In 1955 he married Donna Yoerger, until she went to be with our Lord in 1969. He married Lois Huck, and was married to her for nearly 54 years, until he made his journey home. He had 10 children, Terri, Sherry, Gary, Debra, Geri, Perry, Denise, Dennis, Kari, and Larry. He was the proud grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 22. He spent the bulk of his career as the Grocery Manager at Mead's Thriftway in Wapato, Washington, until his retirement. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Yakima. He has now been re-united in Heaven with both of his parents, his sister, Ruby Mondor, and his two brothers, James, and Tom Guthmiller. His humor, caring support, and faithfulness will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 1:00pm, at Redeemer Lutheran Church (10203 W. Tieton Dr., Yakima). Shaw & Sons Funeral Home is caring for the family.
