Delia Samera Flores

–

Moxee, Washington

Delia Flores was born on January 25, 1997, to Aracely Valencia and Joseph Flores, in Yakima, Washington. She suddenly passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 29, just a couple of months shy of her 30th birthday.

Delia grew up in Wapato, where she attended St. Joseph Marquette and Wapato High School. She went on to pursue a career in dentistry and became a dental assistant, eventually working as an orthodontic assistant. She was proud of the life she was building for herself, working two good jobs, taking care of the people she loved, and always finding a way to make time for the things and people that mattered most. However, to know Delia was to know that her career and accomplishments were only a small part of who she was.

Delia was kind, playful, hilarious, sarcastic, and full of life. She had one of those laughs that you could recognize from across the room and once she started laughing, it was almost impossible not to laugh with her. She had a way of making even the simplest moments fun. She was the person who could walk into a room and somehow make it feel more alive just by being there.

She was unapologetically herself. She loved being outdoors, going on hikes, dancing, making memories, and having a good time. She loved being surrounded by friends and family, and most of all, she loved making people laugh. Delia truly was the life of the party.

She was so many things to so many people. She was a daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, cousin, tia, best friend, a fiancé, and mama to her fur baby, Osito. She loved her family deeply, and the love she had for the people in her life was something you could feel.

There are some people who leave an empty space when they are gone, and then there are people like Delia, people who leave an entire world behind.

Her smile, her laugh, her jokes, her energy, and all the little things that made her will be missed more than words can say. There will be moments when someone tells a joke and we will instinctively wait for her laugh. There will be songs, places, memories, and ordinary little moments that remind us of her. Although those moments will hurt, they will also be reminders of how lucky we were to have known, loved her and to be loved by her.

Delia fought battles that many people may never have known she was carrying. Her passing does not erase the beautiful person she was, nor does it define her life. She was so much more than the struggles she faced. She is loved. She was funny. She was caring. She was vibrant. She was family. She was a friend. She was Delia.

Her life was far too short, but the love and memories she gave us will last a lifetime.

She leaves behind her fiancé, David, mother, Aracely, stepdad, Mario, father Joseph (Annabea), siblings, Joseph, Malia, Anyssa, Christian, Miranda, Naul, fur baby, Osito, nieces and nephews, Harmony, Catalina, Joaquin, Maximiliano, and Solene.

Delia you will be deeply, endlessly, and forever missed by everyone who had the privilege of loving you. Until we see you again, Delia. We love you.
