Donald Edward Evans Obituary (2023)

Donald "Don" Edward Evans passed peacefully at his home in Ellensburg, WA on October 5, 2023, with his wife by his side. He was born June 14, 1943, in Ellensburg, WA to Harold and Ethel Evans. Dons great-grandparents arrived in the valley in 1882 and settled originally in Swauk Prairie. He was 1 of 6 children. The family moved to Seattle when he was a teen but he had always wanted to return to the valley. Don met his wife Katherine in Seattle and they married in 1964. Don and Kathy had 2 children: son Matt (Sheri) Evans and daughter Louisa Brooks. They have 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Don is preceded in death by his parents and brother; Harold Evans of Seattle. He is survived by his brother Calvin Evans of Arizona, and his sisters; Betty of Seattle and Virginia of Bellingham.
