Eleanor Gayle Loveless

Ellensburg, Washington

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Eleonor Gayle Loveless. Surrounded by her family, Gayle fell asleep in death Monday September 30, 2024 at her home in Ellensburg, Washington, after a short, but courageous battle with cancer.
Gayle was born May 25, 1940, in Seattle, Washington, to her father, David Leslie Yeisley, and her mother, Emogene Littlejohn. The youngest of six children, Gayle grew up on Tiger Mountain in Issaquah, Washington.
In 1959, Gayle started her career at Safeway in Ballard, Washington and shortly after, she met the love of her life, Lawrence Michael Loveless. Gayle and Larry wed three months later and made their home in Renton, Washington, where they lived together for three years until Larry accepted the Chief of Police position in Ellensburg, Washington and they moved east of the mountains. Gayle transferred to the Ellensburg Safeway store and continued to work there until retiring in 2005 and was known and loved by many in the community.
Gayle was a dedicated mother who continually poured out unconditional love and support. She was always available and willing to help in any way. She loved being a grandmother to her six grandkids, and GiGi to her great grandson. She really enjoyed spending time with her family and friends on the Oregon coast. Seaside and Canyon Beach were two of her favorite places to go.
When she wasn't at the beach, she could be found snowmobiling around the Pacific Northwest or riding with her husband on their motorcycle to Arizona to visit her sister and nephews. She loved reading, especially in front of the fireplace, working on puzzles, or tending to her garden.
As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Gayle was very active in her congregation here in Ellensburg and enjoyed spending time teaching her neighbors and friends in the community about the Bible and the wonderful hope it holds out for our future.
Gayle is survived by her husband, Larry Loveless, her sister, Marilyn English of Arizona, her Brother Kenny Yeisley of Renton, her children, Jeff (Maricela) Hines of Bellingham, Kathy (Robert) Hamlin of Ellensburg, Michael (Todd) Loveless of Renton, her grandchildren Dustin Hines, Brooke Hamlin Otto, Dakota Hamlin, Lindsay Hamlin Wulf, Colton Loveless, Alexys Loveless, and her great grandson, Parker Otto.
Gayle was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Kvalheim, brothers, Les and Clyde Yeisley, her daughter, Melody, her son, Todd Loveless, and her granddaughter, Alyssa Hamlin.
Memorial service for friends and family will be held on Nov. 9th at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 1404 Vantage Hwy, Ellensburg, WA 98926.
Her family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to The Gretchen Weller Foundation, and Home Health and Hospice for their support and care of Gayle, and the family during her last days.
