Evelyn Evon Maxwell Obituary (2024)

Evelyn Maxwell went to be with the Lord on May 11th, 2024. Evelyn Evon was born on August 20, 1957, to James and Anna Nadeau in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is fourth child of five. The family moved around a lot due to her father being in the military. They settled in Goldendale, Washington, where she graduated high school. She then moved to Yakima and started working at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in the kitchen. She worked her way up in that field to become a dietary manager, retiring three years ago from Garden Village. Evelyn gave birth to her first son, Vincent, in 1982. Then she married the love of her life, Kenneth Maxwell, on May 11th, 1985. They welcomed their daughter, Elizabeth, in 1987, then adopted their last son, Christian, in 2013. Evelyn enjoyed putting puzzles together, spending time with those dear to her heart, playing penny slots at the casino with her best friend of over 40 years, reading and watching her Seattle Mariners, win or lose she was rooting them on. Evelyn is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Kenneth, sons Vincent Nadeau and Christian Maxwell, daughter Elizabeth Maxwell and grandson Corbyn Lowell and sister, Sarah Sloan, all of Yakima and numerous other family members.
