Ferris Ielene Young Obituary (2023)

Feris I. Young of White Swan, Washington, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on May 22, 2023. Feris was born October 18, 1933 at Merrill, Oregon to Benjamin F. and Ruth May Craig. During her childhood the family moved often as her father Benjamin had the soul of a Gypsy. At the age of 13, the family lived and farmed in the Harrah, Washington area. During that time Feris met the love of her life Henry E. Young. They married and spent 74 years together in the Harrah area where they farmed and had a dairy. In 1967 they bought a ranch in the Harrah/White Swan area and began raising registered angus cattle. Feris and Henry were blessed with four children; Susan, Benji Ruth, Henry, Jr. and Craig. After their family was grown, Feris and Henry were foster parents, providing a loving home for children in need for several years. Feris had a strong faith in God and the family attended Harrah Assembly of God church for many years. Feris was preceded in death by her beloved husband Henry on March 1, 2022 after which she remained in the family home. Feris is survived by her four children, Susan (Young) Knight, Benji Young, Henry E. Young, Jr (Geralyn), and Craig Young (Melody). Feris was also blessed with Nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Davis, Ashley (Anthony) Young, Nicole Young (deceased 1985), Alyssa Young, Joseph Knight, Victoria (Richard) Rodrigues, Kalika (Roman) Sifuentes, Lavonne Knight, and Sam Knight. She also had seven great-grandsons, Akia Young, Jagger Henry Young, Tayven England, Casper England, Finley Rodrigues, Winslow Rodrigues, and England Rodrigues. At Feris request, there will be no public service.
