Gregory Brent Fluegge Obituary (1956 - 2026)

Gregory Brent Fluegge was born on February 13, 1956, to Ormund and Violet Fluegge, in Yakima, Washington. He passed away at his home in Yakima, on August 21, 2026. Greg, the youngest of the family, was an active and charismatic guy, with a zest for life. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed spending time in the mountains, boating, water-skiing, dirt biking, fishing, and hunting. He had a lifelong appreciation for motorcycles and old cars, and spent many hours in his garage, working on them over the years. Greg was also a talented craftsman and was always working on some type of project or two. Greg grew up in Yakima and graduated from A.C. Davis High School in 1974. In 1976, he married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Sue. Together, they raised three children and created many memories together as a family. They especially cherished their summers at Rimrock Lake and vacations to Cannon Beach. Greg worked as a parts inspector at GE Aviation for more than 35 years. He was dedicated to his work and highly regarded by his coworkers, many of whom became like family to him. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time at his cabin with his beloved dog, Tipper. Greg is preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne; his son, Brian; his parents, Ormund and Violet Fluegge; his sister, Sandra Morrier; and his sister-in-law, Nancy Fluegge. He is survived by his children, Amber and Mike Williams, and Joe Fluegge; his siblings, Dennis Fluegge and Paula Fluegge; his grandchildren, Lydia, Lucas, and Landree Williams; as well as many nieces and nephews.
