Herman Leroy Mullinnex Obituary (1935 - 2025)

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Herman Leroy Mullinnex on December 21, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born on April 15, 1935, in Crawford, Nebraska. He moved to Toppenish, WA with his family in 1942 where they farmed for many years. Herman served in the United States Army from 1958-1964, serving part of his time in Korea. He then spent several years working with his brother, John D. Mullinnex. This experience taught him the value of self-reliance and responsibility. He also spent many years in warehouse work in the fruit industry and in landscaping. His dedication and work ethic were truly admirable. Herman made his home in Yakima, Washington. In 1996, he married Margo Pejsa. He is survived by his stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Herman is preceded in death by by his parents, Herman and Elsie (Miller) Mullinnex, his beloved wife, Margo Mullinnex, his siblings Evelyn, Jim, John, Tom and Pete. Herman will be inurned at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota at a later date.
