Jacqueline Rae Monahan Obituary (1960 - 2026)

Jacqueline Rae Monahan, 65, passed away on January 19, 2026. She was born in Yakima, WA on August 29, 1960, third born to Ray and Lila Faucher. She was a graduate of West Valley High School, class of ’78. She met William Kevin Monahan in 1985 and they were married in 1987. Together they raised four children, Jennelle, Lerin, Burke, and Sean. Jacquie worked in childcare for 25 years, spoiling and loving on those kids as if they were her own. Families loved her and she loved the families just the same. After retirement, Jacquie continued doing the things she loved, camping, bonfires, and riding ATV’s. She was an avid Seahawks fan and never missed a game. Jacquie loved going to the beach, specifically walking the beach in Seaside and awaiting the sunset kush with her family. She enjoyed tending to her garden and her yard was always immaculate. However, her pride and joy were her grandchildren. She was always her grandkid’s biggest cheerleader, going to all the school and sporting events, no matter how far. She was always there for her family, and ready to support them in every part of life. Jacquie is survived by her children, Jennelle Alexander (Tronn) of Yakima, Lerin Spurlock (David) of Marana, AZ, Burke Monahan (Nikki) of Yakima, and Sean Monahan (Sarah) of Yakima, her grandchildren Victoria and Mackenzie Alexander, Amara and Kaelin Spurlock, Liam and Riley Monahan, and Savannah and Saylor Monahan, her mother Lila Faucher, her siblings Cindy Carlson (Jon), Ray Faucher (Mary), Mike Faucher (Claudia), and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Ray Faucher, and her husband, William Monahan. Our family is at peace, knowing she is finally reunited with Dad. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
