James Lee TUCKER

Moxee, Washington

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, James Tucker, who left this world on September 18, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on December 1, 1949, in Santa Ana, California, James lived a life marked by courage, love, and an unwavering spirit.

A proud member of the Army, James served in Vietnam with honor and bravery. His experiences shaped him into a man of deep integrity and resilience. He carried the lessons of his service with him, teaching his family the values of courage, respect, and commitment.

An avid outdoorsman, James found joy in fishing and archery hunting. He spent countless hours in nature, sharing his passion for the great outdoors with family and friends. His stories of fishing trips and hunting adventures were legendary, filled with laughter and the lessons he learned along the way.

James is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Tucker; his children, Emma Burson, Donald Tucker, Bobby Parker, and Vernon Margheim; and his cherished grandchildren, Kailee, Michael, Makaela, Alexis, Nathaniel, Gage, Lillian, Joeseph and Jacob. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Ron and Norma Tucker, and Sandra Merritt; his mother-in-law and sister-in-law Donna Eich; as well as his nieces, Tracy, Amy and Trudy.

Though he has left us, the love he shared will remain forever. He was a storyteller who could paint vivid pictures of his adventures, and he taught us to appreciate the world around us, inspiring us to seek adventure and embrace the beauty of life.

A memorial service to honor James will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 1:00pm at Brookside Funeral Home (500 W. Prospect, Moxee, WA 98936). A potluck reception will follow the service in the Brookside gardens. We invite all who knew him to come share stories, laughter, and tears as we celebrate a remarkable life well-lived.

James Tucker --our hero, our mentor, and our beloved husband and father-- will be deeply missed. His spirit will forever guide us through the trails of life he loved so dearly.
