Jane Janice BROWN Obituary (2024)

On August 25th, Jane Janice Fifield-Brown joined her husband Ira (Buzz) Brown, with our Lord. Jane and her twin sister Jean were born on October 25th, 1944 to George Fifield and Ester Oestrich-Fifield in Ritzville, Washington. She attended school in Ritzville, and then married Buzz, having two children, Dorothy and David. She worked for the City of Ritzville as the City Clerk, a short period at Spike's Drive-In in Ritzville, and upon moving to Yakima she worked at K-Mart. She leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Rachael, Amanda, Kyle and Marshall. She also leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren. One of Jane's favorite pastimes was to watch and be with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Always offering them advice on how to hit a ball better, field the ball better, or chew out their coach. She liked to travel and have Dorothy's family, as she would put it, "haul her butt around" to many different events. She had great care near the end of her life which made her final days, and passing, much easier for the family. And for that, we all thank you, Marshall. Jane's words of encouragement, "Angel on your shoulder" will be remembered by all of us... Private inurnment at Calvary Cemetery in Yakima, Washington. Brookside Funeral Home is caring for the family.
