Joseph Harvey McClain

Joseph Harvey McClainfather, son, brother, uncle, goofball, and self-proclaimed legendclimbed the stairway to heaven on May 15th, 2019 at the age of 52.

Joe is remembered for his immense love for his children, master craftsmanship, and always running late on what his family and friends referred to as Joe-time. He enjoyed building and working on things and enjoyed showing off about it even more- one of the greatest show-boaters the world has ever seen, with all the charm and charisma to get away with it.

A true kid at heart, Joe loved his toys; from big jet skis and motorcycles to small remote control cars and drones, all his spare time was play time (which friends and family like to joke was most of the time).

Joe is survived by his daughter, Heather, and her mother, Wendy; his son, James; his mother, Pat Scully, father, James McClain and step-mother, Sharon; his sisters, Charlotte and Lori; his step-siblings, Ricky, Tammy, Ed, Christy, and Sandi; his aunt, Hazel and uncles, Richard and David; his many cousins, nieces and nephews; his girlfriend, Lisa; and good friend, Jessica. He is preceded in death by the mother of his son, Cobra; his step-father, Dan; and both sets of grandparents.

Joe had a passion for helping others. He was always available to give honest advice no matter the circumstances. Although Joe is gone, his advice will carry on through the family and friends hes counseled. We will all miss him deeply.

A celebration of life will be officiated by his daughter, Heather, at the Brookside Funeral Home (500 W. Prospect, Moxee, WA 98936) on Saturday, June 1st at 1:00 p.m. (real-time not Joe-time). Farewell party to follow. Everyone who remembers Joe is invited to tell a favorite Joe story of their choosing.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Alcoholics Anonymous (Central Washington Central Office, PO Box 762, Yakima, WA 98907), and sent in care of Brookside Funeral Home (PO Box 1267, Moxee, WA 98936) who is caring for the family.
