Josephine Anna Jenson

Josephine Anna Jenson went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday October 7, 2014. She was born to Joseph and Ruby Lee (Rogers) Blair on August 11, 1919 in Davenport, WA. As a child, she and her parents, along with her siblings, came to the Granger area. When Josie was growing up, she attended Granger schools and would have graduated in 1938 but decided to marry our father, Marion C Jenson, on July 3, 1937 in Granger. They had two children, Dwayne and Juanita, who were the joys of her life. When she was employed, Josie worked for the Yakima Bait Company in Granger assembling various lures for Howard Worden, until her retirement in June 1969. Mother loved cooking and doing things with her kids. After retirement, mother had a lot of activities that she liked to do, with those being crocheting, sewing, fishing with her husband, and various friends, but most of all, she loved traveling to Arizona in the wintertime. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren when the opportunities arose. Josie is survived by her children, Dwayne Jenson and Anna-Marie (Juanita) Boone of Union Gap; sisters, Rosemary Blair, Leola Snyder, and brother, John Blair. She was preceded in death by her husband Marion of 74 years, her parents, Joseph and Ruby Blair; her brothers Howard, Bob and sister Virginia; half-sister Evelyn Schell, half brothers James, Fred and William Blair.
We want to give thanks to Dr. Emmans, the Living Care Healthcare Center staff, and Memorial Hospice for taking care of mom in her last days.
Viewing will be October 14, 2014 for family from 11 am - Noon and others from Noon - 4 pm at Brookside Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Pl., Moxee, WA. Funeral Services will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Wednesday Oct. 15th at 11 am. Interment will follow at Zillah Cemetery.
