Karen E. Brown

Karen Brown, beloved wife and Mother, died on September 12, 2026, at the age of 70 in Everson, Washington.

Born February 24th, 1956, in Wenatchee, WA, to Herman and Mildred Brown. She grew up in Wenatchee and graduated from Wenatchee High School, later earning an Associates Degree at Wenatchee Valley College.

Karen married Steve H. Brown on February 20, 1981, and together they made their home in Wenatchee WA, where they raised two children. Her career included roles as a Lab Assistant at Tree Fruit Research and a volunteer managing the Threatened and Endangered wildlife database for the Wenatchee National Forest. She also dedicated her time as an EMT/firefighter with District 10 and as a chaplain’s assistant at NCW Jail Chaplaincy.

A life-long adventurer, Karen traveled through Europe with a church choral group during her high school years. She found joy in shopping, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Steve, her children Michael, and Amanda, three grandchildren Stacy, Sari & Isaac, her brother Kelly, a beloved cousin Earline, Earline’s children and grand/great grandchildren, and various foster siblings and their children. She was preceded in death by her parents Herman Brown & Mildred Brown (White) and various aunts and uncles.
