Kathleen Elsie SCOTT Obituary (2024)

Kathleen Elsie Berghoff was born on October 12, 1930 in Yakima, WA, to Edward and Eugenia Berghoff. She attended St. Joseph Academy and graduated in 1947. Kathy met her future husband, Harry Scott at Yakima Valley College. They were married on July 22, 1950. Together they raised eight children, had 12 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She worked in the office at Lewis and Clark Junior High for 25 years when she retired. Kathy was a lifelong member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and the Young Ladies Institute. Kathy enjoyed anything and everything to do with her family most of all. She loved to travel with her five sisters and they were all very close. She and Harry had incredible lifelong friendships with the Potluck Group for over 60 years. They enjoyed camping and watching every sporting event of their kids and grandkids over the years. She was an avid Seattle Mariner and Seahawk fan. She was also an incredible quilter. We would like to thank the staff at Fieldstone Memory Care for their excellent care and compassion. Recitation of the Holy Rosary is scheduled for Monday, November 18, 2024 at 5:00pm at Holy Redeemer Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 10:00am, also at Holy Redeemer, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. A Reception will follow the burial back at the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SRBfoundation.org.
