Kathleen JoAnn Skaug Obituary (2023)

Kathleen Joann (Kelley) Skaug passed away May 1, 2023, at Cottage in the Meadow, following an extended Illness. Kathleen was born in Yakima, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, on February 12, 1951, to Gene and Vivian Kelley. Kathy was raised in the Toppenish area and graduated from Toppenish High School in 1969. In 1971, she married Robbin Lee Ritch, together they had three sons, Blue Gene, and identical twins, Jason, and Stacy. In 1994, Kathy remarried Harry Skaug. They lived in Seattle, amongst other areas, and resided in Soap Lake, Washington, until the time of his death, in 2010. Shortly after, Kathy relocated to Yakima to be closer to her family. Kathy is survived by sons, Jason (Kelley) Ritch of Yakima, Stacy (Shaundra) Ritch of Port Townsend, sister-in-law, Linda Kelley of Yakima, grandsons, Blue Gene Jr, Jayden, Marcus, Callen, and Cole, and her 10-year-old fur baby, Riley, stepsister, Jayne Hoyt of Zillah and stepbrother, David Hoyt of Sedro Wooley, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kathy is preceded in death by both parents, son, Blue Gene, her husband, Harry, and her brothers, Kim Kelley, and Dennis Kelley. Per Kathys request, no services will be held.
