Kristine Christine Koolis-Forde Obituary (1964

Kristine Christine Koolis-Forde, 48, of Yakima passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, February 11, 2013. She was born December 28, 1964 to Ruth Hollo and Robert Koolis and spent her childhood growing up in the Pacific Northwest and southern California with her six siblings. Kristine was a beautiful, warm, loving person who devoted herself completely to family and friends. She always told the best stories! Her warm grace and smile lit up any room she walked into. She had the best sense humor and could make anyone laugh with her quick wit. Kristine worked hard her whole life. She was a cake decorator for 16 years, providing countless couples with beautiful wedding cakes. She also decorated beautiful birthday cakes, baby shower cakes, and many other delicious baked goods. She spent the last 13 years of her life working as the manager for the Nob Hill Papa Murphy's. She worked hard for everything she had and she taught her children to love with an open heart and to 'always be proud of what you do.' Kristine wasn't just a boss; she was a friend and had a special place in her heart for everyone she worked with over the years. Kristine is lovingly survived by Chet Forde, her husband of 17 years, children Amanda, Connor and Jennifer Sheesley, Ruth Hollo (mother), Robert Koolis (father), William Newell (step-father), and Nancy Koolis (step mother), as well as siblings Pete Koolis (Cheryl), Steve Koolis, Karen Chambers (Jeff), Bobby Koolis (Stephanie), Rue Koolis-Hudgings (Michael), Jim Koolis (Stacie), and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her niece, Michelle, and nephew, Tony. We all lost someone special and Kristine will always be missed, but we can carry with us all the laughs and beautiful memories we got to make with her. Our loss is Heaven's gain.
