Larry Edwin Anderson Obituary (2024)

Larry E. Anderson passed away quietly, on Saturday August 3, 2024, in Wenatchee. He was born at the family home in Bothell, Washington, to Edward and Hattie Anderson on April 11, 1933. Larry attended Bothell High School and two years at Pacific Lutheran College, before entering the Army, where he served at Big Delta in Alaska. He married Doris Ormbrek in 1954 and had three children with her. After two years of Army service, he completed his bachelor's degree at Seattle Pacific College. He then went into banking, starting with Seattle First National Bank. He worked at many banks for nearly 50 years, ending as he retired from US Bank, in January 1996. He married Shirley Carpenter in 1974. They enjoyed many years together, RV camping with friends. They were also active in the Wenatchee Applearians for many years. Larry enjoyed golfing and participating in Sons of Norway, where he was a Golden member and a founding member of our local Epledalen Lodge. Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, parents, brother, Milton Anderson, and sister, Fern Vance. He is survived by his three children, Denice Frasu, Leonard Anderson (Debra), Diane Bren (Steve), seven grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Larry was a member of Cashmere's Grace Lutheran Church (401 Elberta Ave.), where a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 2:00pm.
