Larry T. Anderson

–

Selah, Washington

Larry Anderson passed away peacefully at his home, after a brief battle with an aggressive cancer, surrounded by his loving family on March 3, 2026.

Larry was born on November 18,1963, in Yakima, WA to Grant Anderson and Marilyn (Olson) Anderson-Mills-Klineman. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the age of 11 after a summer Sunday school class at Memorial Bible Church.

At the age of 17, Larry was diagnosed with glomerulus membranous nephritis. Larry received a kidney transplant, donated by his brother Bruce, on April 8, 1981. That kidney, by the grace of God, kept Larry alive for 44+ years! The process brought his wandering brother back to the family and back to a relationship with God. In the fall of his senior year, Larry was able to rejoin the Ranger Marching Band. Larry graduated from Naches Valley High School in 1982.

Upon graduating, Larry started his lawn care business Growmasters Lawn Care Co. He continued to run his business while attending Central Washington University graduating with a degree in marketing. He continued to grow his business, and, in the spring of 1991, he added spraying to his list of services.

Larry met the love of his life, Karla Wiles, at a mutual friend’s house on Easter of 1991. They went on their first date in June of 1991, were engaged in July and married on December 14, 1991. They were blessed to have spent 34 years together growing their business and raising their son, Steven.

Larry loved God and viewed his business as an avenue for ministry. Any opportunity he could, he would share the message of God’s love and forgiveness available to us all, with his customers.

Larry is preceded in death by his dad, Grant Anderson, mom, Marilyn Anderson-Mills-Klineman, brother, Bruce Anderson, stepdads, Bob Mills and Dave Klineman, nephew, Andrew Anderson, father-in-law, Jerry Wiles and grandparents, George and Agnes Anderson and Otto and Agnes Olson.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Karla, son, Steven Anderson (Maddie), bonus son, Joel Ford (Amy), bonus daughter, Laura Button (Nate), stepmom, Jackie Anderson, mother-in-law, Cheryl Wiles, sister, Donna Lawson (Rick), brother-in-law, Kevin Wiles (Clair), step siblings, Jill Schultz (Tyler), Nick Harmon (Tonya), Greg Harmon (Holly), Mel Pederson, and Mark Mills, nieces, Emily Fretwell (Andy), Rachel Forsman (John), Auna Kilby (Michael) and Jenn Wiles, nephew, Ricky Lawson (Holly), granddaughters, Harper Rose Anderson and Tatum Renee Anderson, bonus grandchildren, Wyatt Button, Clayton Button and Allie Button, and cousins, Janet Witt (Tom), Joanne Eittreim (Kent), Jim Olson ( Diane), Chuck Tissell, Ron Anderson, Gary Anderson, Phil Rogren (Mary), Elaine Anderson, Ken Anderson, Jim Kelly and sister Kathy.
