Loren 'Larry' Frank Wiley Obituary (1944

Loren Frank Wiley (Larry) Larry Wiley passed on July 15, 2022, with his family at his side. Larry was born to James and Vivian Wiley, in Yakima in 1944. He was a descendant of one of the original pioneering family of the Yakima Valley. The Wiley family tied their horse to a tree in 1868, establishing the Wiley City area. He spent his entire life in the local area and graduated from West Valley High School in 1962. Farming and ranching were a prominent part of his history, and something Larry truly enjoyed. He was never happier than when he was working the land with his big green tractor, trail riding in the Goat Rocks Wilderness on his favorite horse or spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Larry was a jack of all trades throughout his life. Larry was serving as the current Vice President of The Yakima Valley Cattlemans Association and received an award as The Cattleman of the year for 2022, an honor for which he and his family are grateful for. Larry is survived by his wife, Reva (Drury) Wiley, two daughters, Laura Daniels and Crystal Repasky. He married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Bowden, and later married Reva. He has one brother, Hugh Douglas Wiley, and one sister, Maryann Pritchard, two sons-in-law, Dean Daniels and Ted Repasky. Five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, whom he loved very much. Larry maintained numerous friends throughout the community, who were a large part of his life. Close friend, Steve Brock, is an honorary son to the family. The morning meetings with the breakfast crew were always a priority. A Celebration of Life will coincide with the Cattleman of the Year Picnic on September 10, 2022, at the West Valley Fair Grounds (Blue Barn).
