Louise May Brown Obituary (2024)

Louise May (Cadden) Brown was born in Yakima, Washington, on November 8, 1940, to Stewart Cadden and Dorothy Daniels. She went home to her Lord and Savior on April 25, 2024, at Cottage in the Meadow, in Yakima. Louise spent the majority of her life in Yakima. Louise completed the 9th grade at Castlevale Elementary, in Yakima, Washington. She met the love of her life, Donald "Don" Brown, in November 1958 and married him February 2, 1959. Together Louise and Don celebrated 65 years of marriage. The couple had three children born to them, Donna, Linda, and Don Jr. Besides her children, she is survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Louise spent nearly her entire life as a homemaker caring for her family. Her greatest loves in this life were the mountains, gardening, and her family. She always made sure her home was welcoming and warm. She loved all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a special relationship with her grandson, Michael Brown, who she helped raise. Louise is survived by her husband, Don of Yakima, her children, Donna (Lance) Dragoo of Bonney Lake, WA, Linda Brown of Yakima WA, and Don (Cheryl) Brown of Yakima, WA. She is also survived by grandchildren, Russ (Kayla) Tevis of Richland, WA, Mark (Carrie) Tevis of Fort Sam Houston, TX, Amber Bragg of Richland, WA, Michael Brown of Yakima WA, and Felipe Brown of Yakima, WA, great-grandchildren, Abbie Tevis of TX, Lillee and Rife Tevis of Richland, WA, Kain and Waylon Bragg of Richland, WA. She is also survived by sisters, Barbara Miller, Evelynn Ketchen, Patsy Howell, Carol Willford, and Janice Marienau. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Dorothy Davis, brothers, James, Bill, and Wayne Gaston. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 2:00pm, at Randall Park in Yakima. Please enter and park on the 44th Avenue side.
