We mourn the loss, yet celebrate the beautiful life of Martha Hernandez-Peretti, who made her transition on February 3, 2026. Born on December 7, 1971, in Concord, California, Martha's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, her radiant love for her children, and her untamed spirit that found joy and beauty in the simplest of things. Her generous heart touched countless lives, both within her family and in the wider community. A lover of life, she found her calling in nurturing, teaching, and inspiring others.
Martha, who spent most of her professional life in payroll and HR, was not just an employee but a friend, a confidante, and a mentor to many. She was a woman of great character who served as a beacon of hope and strength. Her love for her children was immeasurable, and she instilled in them the values of kindness, compassion, and resilience. In the words of poet Maya Angelou, "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style." These words encapsulate Martha's approach to life.
Martha's love extended beyond her immediate family to the vulnerable and less fortunate. She was a passionate advocate for the homeless, dedicating countless hours to feeding those in need. In her free time, Martha found tranquility in nature, capturing the beauty around her through her keen eye for photography. Her home was always open to shelter stray animals, a testament to her gentle and loving spirit.
Martha is survived by her children, Merissa, Jr, Emmasantana, Javi, and Zander Peretti, her ex-husband Richard Peretti, and her brother Amado Hernandez and Sister-I -law Stephanie Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her father Eliseo Hernandez and her mother Josephine Castiano. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 10:00 am PST at Tahoma Cemetery, 1802 Tahoma Avenue, Yakima, Washington, 98902.
In remembering Martha, we invite you to share your memories, stories, and photos on her memorial page. Let us honor her life and legacy by keeping her spirit alive in our hearts and minds. Her love, kindness, and generosity will be profoundly missed, yet her memory and influence will continue to echo through the lives she touched.
