Melinda Marie Pott

On Monday, November 17, 2025, Melinda Marie Pott, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away at the age of 82 years old. Melinda was born October 7th, 1943, in Seattle Washington to Mark and Lois Brown. She moved to Ellensburg at 18 years old and has lived here since. Melinda worked at Twin City Foods until she retired.

Melinda married her Husband Richard Pott on July 28, 1962. They raised 3 children together. Todd Pott, Jeanne Bates and Steve Pott. Melinda had several passions including fishing, enjoying time with family, especially her grandchildren, doing puzzles, sudoku, playing board games and reading. She was known for her funny sense of humor and her out of pocket comments that always kept her family laughing. She has been described by family and friends as loving and kind and a firecracker. Melinda always made sure her family was taken care of.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, mother and father Mark and Lois brown and her brother Gary Brown. She is survived by her sister Jackie Field, her 3 children, several grandchildren, Steven Pott, Brianna Brookes, Jessica Cantwell, Jacob Bates Marissa Abraha, Jacob Pott, Brittany Pott and Tiffany Rounds. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.

At Melinda's request we will be holding a private funeral for immediate family only.
