Ofelia De Los Santos, age 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 2, 2026, passing peacefully at her home in Yakima, Washington, surrounded by her loved ones at her side. She was born on August 22, 1938, in La Rosita, Texas, to Nicolas Gonzalez and Clemencia Pena.
At the age of 15, Ofelia married the love of her life, Alonzo De Los Santos, who was 17 at the time. Together they began a life rooted in faith, perseverance, and devotion to family. They later moved to Yakima, Washington, where they purchased their first home. As their family grew, they eventually settled on a ranch in Moxee, Washington, where they built a lifetime of memories.
Ofelia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She shared 71 blessed years of marriage with her beloved husband. A faithful woman of Christ, her life was centered on prayer, love, and service. Knowing Christ has welcomed His daughter home brings comfort to all who loved her.
She found joy in gardening, sewing, walking, completing puzzles, and creating crafts and handmade jewelry. She especially enjoyed participating in 5K walks with her daughters. Ofelia also cherished hunting and fishing alongside her husband and treasured memories of boating with her family during their younger years. She held deep love and devotion not only for her own family, but also for her siblings and her husband’s family, whom she embraced as her own.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alonzo De Los Santos; her six children, Alonzo Jr. (Tammy), Audelia (Dan), Toni, Clemencia (Ken), Adelia (Travis), and Angie (Ron); her sisters, Oralia and Odelia (Liela); 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren, all of whom were a great source of pride and joy in her life.
