Owen Daniel Sedy Obituary (2025)

Owen Daniel Sedy passed away on June 18, 2025 at the age of two and a half years old, after battling cancer for over a year. Owen was born in Ellensburg, Washington on November 18, 2022 to parents Joe and Amanda Sedy. He was a remarkable boy, with a huge vocabulary and compassionate personality. He loved meeting people-asking them their names, their favorite colors-and telling stories. He was inquisitive and curious, with a desire to figure out how things worked. Spiderman, roller coasters, hands-on activities, and being incredibly silly to get a laugh were some of his most favorite things. After Owen was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma in April 2023, he rarely lost his spirit and enthusiasm for life. Despite the side effects of 10 months of intense chemotherapy and several rounds of radiation, he could always find energy and excitement to go on the next adventure to the zoo or a park, and was always so kind-even to his medical team. Owen's life was cut short, but the impressions he left on the lives of others will not be soon forgotten. Owen's memory will forever be cherished by his parents, Joe and Amanda, his sister Hazel, and his grandparents, Gene and Janet Sedy and Jim and Suzette Gould, as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. As Owen said in his own words, he was excited to dance with Jesus in heaven and continue hearing "God singing in his ears." Mountain View Ave. on Friday, June 27 between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm for display at the service on Saturday.
