Peter Roth

–

Wenatchee, Washington

Peter Roth, 82, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 27, 2026. He was born on November 12, 1943, to Carl and Sara (Crowell) Roth and was the second oldest of five children.

Peter is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey Roth and Justin Roth, both of Arizona, and by his three beloved grandchildren, Taylor Roth of Rosenberg, Texas; Devin Roth of Goodyear, Arizona; and Sara Roth of Houston, Texas, who were truly the joy of his life. He is also survived by his siblings, James Roth and his wife, Christine; Charles Roth and his wife, Marylin; and Sara (Roth) Matthews, along with many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Veronica Pain, who passed away in 1987 as the result of complications from injuries sustained in a traffic accident; his parents, Carl and Sara Roth; and his older brother, Carl W. Roth Jr.

After graduating from high school, Peter proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served aboard a frigate and had the opportunity to see much of the world. Following his naval service, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Peter was first married to Cynthia, and together they welcomed their daughter, Veronica. He later married another Cynthia, with whom he had two sons, Jeffrey and Justin, both of whom he loved dearly and was immensely proud of.

Although Peter deeply loved his children, nothing brought him greater happiness than being a grandfather. His home was filled with photographs of Taylor, Devin, and Sara, and he treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. His face would light up whenever he spoke of his grandchildren, and his love for them was unmistakable to everyone who knew him.

Peter will be remembered as a man who was fiercely independent, deeply patriotic, and unwaveringly devoted to his family. He had a generous heart and was always willing to help someone in need, often performing acts of kindness quietly and without seeking recognition. Those who knew him will remember his strength, his sense of humor, and the love he carried for those closest to him.

In accordance with his wishes, Peter will be interred at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts, where he will receive full military honors in recognition of his faithful service to our nation. Service arrangements are currently being finalized, and details will be announced as they become available.

The family warmly invites all who knew Peter to share their stories and memories. Those remembrances will be treasured and will help preserve his legacy for generations to come.

Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the many prayers, kind words, and expressions of sympathy we have received during this difficult time. Your love, support, and compassion have been a tremendous source of comfort, and we are deeply thankful.
