Raquel Ann Molano Obituary (2024)

Our beloved Raquel Ana Diaz Molano, 79, was born on August 17th 1944. She was born in Toppenish, Washington. She gracefully entered into the arms of her Savior on March 9th 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents Juan and Tomasa (Lara) Diaz and all of her siblings: sisters Juanita Diaz, Rosalia Diaz, Isabel Diaz, Mary (Leo) Dabalos, Carmen (Tony) Cardenas, Eva (Julio) Ybarra, Margaret Diaz, Esther Diaz, Monica (Ricardo) Garcia, and her brothers Melvin (Conception) Diaz, Luis Diaz, Louis Diaz, Felix (Yolanda) Diaz, and Jessie (Sharon) Diaz. Raquel worked for the Libby's and Del Monte corporations. She loved her Catholic faith and loved to spend time with her family. She grew up surrounded by her family and extended family. She instilled faith, family and community into her children. She married her high school sweetheart and dear husband Jose G. Molano on November 28th, 1964 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Wapato, WA. They would have celebrated their 60th anniversary in November. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jose, as well as her children Celeste (Tom) Donlon and their ten children, Jose (Brenda) Molano and their five children, Felicia (Seth) Molano and daughter along with sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Viewing and rosary from 3:00pm-7:00pm (Vigil at 5pm) on Friday March 15th, 2024 and will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, Moxee, WA. Funeral mass on Saturday March 16th 2024 will be at 11:30am and will take place at St. Paul's Cathedral, Yakima, WA. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Toppenish with a reception to follow. Memorials: Monetary or blood donation can be given to the American Red Cross in Raquel's honor as she proudly donated 20 gallons in her lifetime.
