Roger Cordell Kroboth

–

Ellensburg, Washington

On October 25, 2014 Roger Cordell Kroboth won his battle against Prostate Cancer when he passed from this life and into the arms of Jesus. He was a cancer survivor for 14 years, remaining active and fighting the good fight as long as he was able. Roger was born on January 5, 1942 in San Diego to the late Florian Julius Kroboth and Elnora Nadine Robinson.
Roger was a Godly man, deeply committed to serving and following Christ wherever he was called. He enjoyed singing in the church choir as well as the Camerata Club of Yakima. He loved to sing 'The Lord's Prayer'. He spent several years as a Stephen Minister as well as a member of the Naches Lion's Club. Roger gave selflessly of his time, energy, love and resources to so many who needed help through a difficult time in their life. He was a devoted, loving husband to Karen, his wife of 38 years. They shared a special depth of love that rose above the challenges they faced together through the years and sustained them through his battle with cancer. He was a wonderful father to all of his children, coaching sports, supporting and encouraging them as they followed their path into adulthood, providing a shoulder to cry on and rejoicing in their triumphs and accomplishments. As a 'Papa' he was beyond compare, loving all of his grandchildren and taking part in their lives whenever he could. Roger worked as a journeyman electrician and later as an electrical inspector for Washington State. He had a deep sense of loyalty to each of his employers and always gave his best to every job. Roger built many lasting friendships. He touched so many people with his love, faith, gentleness, honesty and compassion. He will always be in our hearts, always be inspiring us to live our lives for God and to love one another.
