Ronald William Milne Obituary (2025)

Ronald William Milne was born in Seattle, Washington, on September 21, 1949, to Bruce Milne and Geraldine Groff Milne. Ron passed away on February 12, 2025, at Multicare Yakima Memorial Hospital due to heart complications. He married Hazel Wickes in 1974, and they had a daughter, Heather Milne. Although they later divorced, they maintained a close friendship. Ron married his second wife, Sherry Hoffman, in 1984, and she proceeded him in death in 2010. She had children that Ron cared for as his own. Ron served honorably in the United States Navy from 1968-1974, including a tour in Vietnam as River Pilot. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades, Union #427. He was a master painter, working on some of the finest waterfront homes in the Puget Sound area. He retired in 2015 from CEO Construction. But it was through Qigong that he impacted and saved so many lives. He went onto advanced classes and for the past 17 years has been healing and helping others through his balance to health. Ron was an active athlete and sportsman until his mid 70's. You could find him at the Skateland Roller Skating Rink in Union Gap, Washington, every Wednesday night, and most Saturdays and Sundays, skiing Sun Valley or anywhere there was great powder, or guiding fishermen in Alaska, or at Langara Fishing Lodge in Canada with his brothers. This past summer he attended the Paris Olympics with family to cheer on his nephew, Rielly, who won a bronze medal in rowing. For those that were lucky enough to know him, he would always hug you "heart to heart". He will be missed by many friends and family. Ron is survived by his older brother, Bruce Milne, and younger brother, Gary Milne. Ron's Life Celebration will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 12:00pm, at Skateland (2506 Old Town Road, Union Gap, WA). All close family and friends are invited.
