Timothy William Gorham, 35, of Ellensburg, Washington, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 22, 2026. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, and his loss is felt beyond words. Those who knew Tim will remember his kindness, humor, and the quiet way he made others feel safe and cared for. He was born on September 26, 1990 in Rochester, Minnesota, to David Allen Gorham and Laurel Anne Gorham.
Tim grew up in Big Rapids, Michigan and attended Big Rapids High School. He studied horticulture at Ferris State University and landscape architecture at Michigan State University. He went on to apply that knowledge and passion as the owner of Central Nursery, in Ellensburg, Washington.
Tim was an incredibly kind, gentle, and funny person with an innate ability to subtly comfort those around him. He had a deep love of animals, who seemed naturally drawn to his gentle spirit and calming presence. His quiet warmth, patience, and compassion extended to everyone he met, and his wonderful sense of humor brought laughter and lightness to those around him. He never needed to be the loudest person in the room to make an impression. Tim had a rare ability to make both people and animals feel at ease, and his kindness will be deeply missed.
Last year, Tim married the love of his life, Elyse Woda. Earlier this year, they celebrated their love surrounded by close friends and family in Mexico, where they snorkeled together and explored the natural world they both loved so deeply. Over their nearly five years together, Tim and Elyse built a life filled with adventure, laughter, travel, and shared an immense love for plants and animals. Their home was filled with an ever-evolving cast of animals. Together, they shared two beloved dogs, Celah and Nellie, cats, Lupe and Ziggy, and many fish.
Tim was incredibly close to his family, who meant the world to him. They were always his first priority, and he treasured any time they were able to share together. His family was endlessly supportive of him, just as he was of them. He loved them deeply, and their love and support were a constant and important part of his life.
Tim is survived by his wife, Elyse Woda, parents, David and Laurie Gorham, brother, Ethan (Emily) Gorham, sister, Skylar (Chapin) Lamont, and many friends and extended family who love him dearly. Tim will be deeply missed and forever remembered by everyone he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 3:00pm, at the First Lutheran Church of Ellensburg (512 N. Ruby Street).
