Yvonne Charlotte Deaton Obituary (2023)

Yvonne Charlotte (Asbury) Deaton, 78, of Yakima, WA passed away on July 28th, 2023 at Memorial Hospital of Yakima. Yvonne was born on November 23rd, 1944 to Vere and Dorothy Asbury in Yakima, WA. Yvonne graduated from Highland High school in Cowiche, WA in 1963. Yvonne was married and had two children, Charlotte LeeAnn and Michael Ray. Yvonne held numerous jobs, most being in fruit warehouses. Yvonne spent much of her time with her family, mostly with her four granddaughters. Baking cookies, making homemade waffles with homemade syrup, sleepovers which always included taters and weenies, going to the park, crafting, playing games, and sledding in the wintertime. Yvonne also enjoyed various card games and even bowling. Yvonne, was also an avid Mariners and Elvis fan. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Vere and Dorothy Asbury, brothers, Skeezix, Jimmie and Billie and grandson Garrett Deaton. She is survived by daughter Charlotte (Terry) Flowers of Naches, son, Michael Deaton of Yakima, Brother Don and (Nancy) Asbury of Yakima. Granddaughters, Shanna (Tim) Thompson of Yakima. Terra (Cody) Flowers of Irrigon, OR, Alyssa (Michael) Merritt of Mt. Vernon, WA and Alicyn (Nik) Deaton of Yakima. One Great granddaughter Aurelia Merritt, and numerous nieces and nephews - who lovingly referred to Mom, as Aunt Hahn. The family would like to thank the staff of Memorial Hospital on 2NW for their compassion during this difficult time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
